Sage came out with the new VXP series of rods in the fall of 2010. They replaced the previous VT2 series of rods. The VXP's are built with varying  tapers and graphite from one rod to the other with in the line, which is consistent with the now old VT2 line. However the VXP's are definitly a faster action rod, yet smooth in action. We have them in the shop in 5wt thru 8 wt.

 We will also be adding some of Sages new TXL-F rods to our wall in the shop. This series is Sages newly redesigned  ultra light weight series. Even their 7'10" 4wt. rod weighs in at under 2 ounces. They also have new cork grip design which they call a snub-nose half-wells . They will be in the shop after April 16th.

Fishing Report 04/10/2011:

The Brule is at 346 cfs stream flow, not good for fishing. We received more rain last night and are forecasted for intermittent showeres the rest of the week.    The Knife river on the north shore is out of control this morning, a guy i talked to said there was standing waves under the highway bridge.

Fishing Report 04/09/2011:

Norhshore rivers are blowing out. Lester had ice chunks flowing out friday. Lester had upwards of 40 cars sat. ,sucker 20, and you had to search for a parking spot at the french. Brule is at 319 cfs today. Depending on what amounts of rain we get in the next few days it could start receding in the next few days(hopefully). The higher water has brought in some spring run fish too. good luck.

Water levels on the Brule pushing 280cfs this morning. River is getting a little to muddy and dirty.

Fishing Report 04/03/2011:

The Brule continues to fish well.  Today’s rain/snow is pushing water levels up a little, but not too bad.  The lower river will probably be a little dark for the next couple of days, but should clear fast.  Reports of a few bright fish around, but most of what I’ve seen have been pretty dark.
